The process of producing pigments from plants is lengthy and expensive: Within one day of harvest, the root juices are sprayed onto a carrier medium (maltodextrin or acacia gum), dried, and micro-ground. They are tested for purity and then shipped to be blended into the balms. Darker than our popular tints with thicker coverage. 100% PLANTCOLOR™=no iron oxides (metal), pigments (cochineal insect) or FD&C/D&C synthetic dyes and varnishes (petroleum). So, vegetables are literally applied to the lips and you can feel their natural taste and smell. They're lightly scented with cherry-orange-vanilla and a touch of sweetness from organic stevia. The acidity comes from the citric acid used to preserve the pigments, and of course, like all our balms, they're enriched with organic cocoa, coconut, and organic safflower oil from Montana. Hurraw! PLANTCOLOR™ Nr. 3 - Lippenpflege mit pflanzlichen Pigmenten - vegan! Die Pigmente für die neuen PLANTCOLOR™ Lippenpflegestifte stammen aus Wurzeln: Rüben, Radieschen und Purpurkartoffeln.  Der Prozess zur Herstellung von Pigmenten aus Pflanzen ist langwierig und kostbar: Innerhalb eines Tages nach der Ernte werden die Wurzelsäfte auf ein Trägermedium (Maltodextrin oder Akaziengummi) aufgesprüht, getrocknet und mikrofein gemahlen. Sie werden auf Reinheit getestet und dann versandt, um sie in die Balsame einzumischen. Dunkler als unsere beliebten Tönungen mit dickerer Deckkraft. 100% PLANTCOLOR™ = keine Eisenoxide (Metall), Gedichte (Cochenille-Insekt) oder FD&C/D&C synthetische Farbstoffe und Lacke (Erdöl).  Es wird also buchstäblich Gemüse auf die Lippen aufgetragen und dabei spürt man ihren natürlichen Geschmack und Geruch. Sie wurden leicht mit Kirsch-Orange-Vanille parfümiert und einen Hauch Süße aus Bio-Stevia beigemischt. Die Säure kommt von der Zitronensäure, die verwendet wird, um die Pigmente zu konservieren, und natürlich sind diese wie alle unsere Balsame mit Bio-Kakao, Kokosnuss und Bio-Distelöl aus Montana-Anbau angereichert.
