Clear Zinc – what exactly is it?
By using clear zinc oxide (Clear Zinc) to scatter and reflect harmful UV rays, we've created an aesthetic, non-brightening sunscreen without hazardous chemicals. We've confirmed the safety of our formulas through third-party testing as well as by applying our own rigorous health and safety standards. Our clear zinc oxide consists of large particles with a diameter between 500 and 9000 nanometers (5–90x larger than nanoparticles). Using light scattering analysis, we determined that no free nanoparticles are present. This means our clear zinc oxide cannot be absorbed into the bloodstream. When used as directed, there are no health risks associated with clear zinc oxide.
